I don't know the rules, but since you ask so nicely and make it clear that you are the producer of the software (some will just post like a user saying - "this is so great, you need to check it out"😉 I can't see why you shouldn't be allowed to post a link to your site.

if it's a cool software why not to give it a try!

Nothing wrong with linking to it or telling us about it, that's the idea of the forum really. I agree that it's annoying when people pretent they are 'just a user' and say stuff like "this is the most ball achingly awesome thing eva!!!11!eleven" cos that's just biased (and likely to be shot down)

BTW FAQ simply reads "Advertising is currently allowed on the AAS forums. However we would ask that you keep in infromative and discreet, informational posts about new, forthcoming or updated software is encouraged. Authors are other sellers are encouraged to limit advertising to their signature. If advertising becomes a problem rules will be drawn up as necessary. "
