n95 case with easy removal?

10 replies · 4,529 views · Started 12 December 2007

My dad-in-law wants a case for his n95. He's deciding between the hard type case, and the silicone ones. I had a quick look and found a fair few threads on cases, but what i couldn't find is whether they are easy to remove or not.

He does a lot of decorating, but doesn't always want to hide his phone in the case when he's not working etc. So, are there any cases out there, hard or silicone, which are easy to repeatedly take on and off?

Any advice would be great!!!

Cheers in advance people

Does the job, covers the lot and easy on and off too!

I got one of those and hated it. It feels weird and traps dirt easily. It also isn't that easy to get on and off without feeling like you might be damaging the phone. The clear crystal ones are better but mine is not as hard wearing as the one I had on my N91, maybe i'm being too rough or something but there are cracks appearing after only a few months. Still, it was only 3 so if it breaks I'll get a new one!

i got one of those hard clear crystal cases. they are good but the screen cover comes off really easily if dropped or knocked.

plus because the clips have to be tiny they just wear out or break off.

Yeah I agree you have to be a bit more careful with the front part but mine stays on most of the time and I wouldexpect it to come off if dropped (carries the kinetic energy away from the phone thus protecting it)

yeah, I got a clear one too... and its plastic bits wore off but at 3 ... I wasnt too surprised.... did job whislt I was building and protected me phone...

next time i need it protecting, I'll just buy another one... I hate covers on the phone normally. 😎

get the CAPDASE case for the N95. This is a silicone one without the rails and does not fatten up the N95 by too much.. yet it slips on and off like a glove. Only thing that you need to watch out is that the power is covered a bit too much.. so that you may have to open up the power hole a bit more to fit the plug in.

hate cases too but didn't want the screen screen killed by my kids and my fat fingeres

Had a crystal case .. cracked almost straight away .. really they just don't work.

I use the Nokia leather case that came as part of my kit .. although I have a silicone case too .. it doesn't fit or feel right ..

AND the leather case you can whip the phone straight out .. it also looks pretty nice.

2c ..😊

The case I linked to is a Capdase case and unlike 3 shirts experience mine is very easy to get off, does not attract dirt - never gets dust between screen and cover as it has a gasket - and feels very secure generally. It also stays on well - never falls off of its own accord.

I would agree about Crystal cases though - they crack up and fall off way too easily. I don't like the look of the Capdase but it looks after the phone better than most, I also bought a Krusell case, but it takes too long to use the phone in it.

The Crystal would win if it stayed on and didn't break, but the Capdase wins for me - for now.
