I have my N95-1 on auto lock in 10 mins. When I receive an sms, I have to unlock and then read the message to see who its from. Sometimes its just not that important but I spend time checking who it is.
Is there a way of the N95 displaying who the message is from and maybe a snippet of the msg on the main screen, without pressing anything ?

When sending a message you can start it with some code which makes it appear in full on the screen (where it would normally say 1 new message). I don't remember how though and that would have to come from the sender.

Newer SonyEricsson phones also show a very short snippet of the text but this was the only screenshot I could find at short notice.

think thers a simple way!!
wot i do is go to my inbox and then slid the fon closed, it locks and then wen i get a txt i can see who its fom cos it shows the inbox insted of the 1new msg recived!

when i use ppc this application is standard come with wm5 .... no need to unlock the phone ....
