Hi
Just a warning incase anyone has come across 8gb micro sd cards on w w w.sandiskshop.co.uk. They state on the web site that they have these in stock, but they lie & customer support is crap.

I orderd one on the 24th Nov yet im still waiting and site still say they have these in stock. I emailed them on the 29/11 asking where my card had got too and received this reply
"Hello
Am afraid that the items you have ordered are out of stock. But it is coming in this week so as soon as it comes we will dispatch it to you straight away.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Nicola Hickson"

So i emailed them again last Tues 4/12 and pointed out to them I thought it a bit underhand that site stats they are in stock when they have none & If I did not receive my card by the end of the week I wished my order to be cancelled (up untill this time my credit card had not been charged) I got no reply to this mail, then on Saturday evening at gone 9pm I recieved email invoice they had charged my card even though it was past my deadline to have received card.
I have checked tracking and still says allocating stock and I have sent them 2 more emails which they seem to be ignoring

So Beware if you order from this site

I'm not sure where you are, but they are in the UK. The UK has some good consumer protection laws, so call around the various government agencies that deal with these issues.

Alternatively you might want to lodge your complaint more rapidly, click right here: http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/how_to_complain/complaints_form/

I think Mr Flatman needs to be a little more proactive on his website - it takes all of 5 seconds to edit the product page to say "Temporarily out of stock"

To All Customers

Not good enough, if demand has outstripped supply, you should be constantly updating cutomers as to this fact. You should also offer refunds/order cancellations to all who want it so they can get it from somewhere else.

No it's not.

Nor is lying to customers saying items are in stock, when they aren't and giving the customer false expectations.

Way to treat your customers... come on a forum and talk about demand outstripping supply. :banghead:

Aww but bless them, it's not their fault, honest 🙄

heh heh, it never is is it. 😉 Im just struggling to understand the reason to post on here... surely they new they were gonna get flamed with a weak excuse like that, especially when they are actually taking customers cash!

I used a site called nextdaymemory, they were cheap as anything, and they had my card with me within a day! 😊

Well if you did care about customers, you wouldnt still have it showing as 'instock' seeing as you dont have any in till tomorrow: http://www.sandiskshop.co.uk/sandisk-8gb-microsd-p-11142.html

BAD BAD BAD BAD.

If I were Mr Flatman, I would be having series words with my stock tracker.... He doesnt seem to be 'managing directly' what he does and doesnt have to sell. Oh well.

I'm actually after an 8GB card, obviously not going to buy it from Sandiskshop, but I've been looking at some other shops and came across Online Memory which looks almost identical to sandiskshop and is owned by the same company, look at the bottom of the page. So I guess Mr flatman runs both of them. Oh, and apparently it's in stock there as well! Perhaps the warning should extend to this one as well.

Unfortunately he's too busy covering his ass with terrible excuses on forums!

Well what can I say
Mr Flatman can come on here to answer , obviously doesnt like bad publicity but still cant answer my e-mails or on web site they have nice call back feature you give them your number and they dont bother to ring back.

Not just you, theres been 221 views of this thread, and doubtless there will be more.

Just desserts if you ask me. Would never have happened if they had been straight with Fiddles from the start about having none in stock.

heh heh, this thread is actually above sandiskshops own thread on google.

Doesnt bad customer service travel fast.

Doesnt bad customer service travel fast.

In the words of Douglas Adams "Nothing travels faster than the speed of light with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special laws"

"It's in the post guv...." That has a familiar ring to it. 😉

Arrived today with tiny Sandisk card reader, all copied from 2Gb card to it, working fine!

well mine hasnt arrived 😡 got the email friday saying that it had been dispatched

I have also fallen victim to this company.

I like sandisk MP3 players and have used one for years, just suits my needs perfectly, so when they bought out a new model, the Sandisk Sansa View 16GB it agreed it was time to upgrade mine.

Browsing the net it became obvious that being a new product they were in short supply, but I found a website that had them in stock. www.onlinememory.co.uk, so in went my order and there it stayed. It soon became obvious these cowboys did not have the item in stock at all.

I wrote them an e-mail asking about the order which was ignored for two days. Whilst I waited for a reply I was lucky enough to get a response from the online help utility on their website. A guy called dave told me the item was currently out of stock but they were expecting some in that week. I also let him know the website still showed the item was in stock. I also let him know the phone number on the website does not work and gives a number unobtainable tone.

I now know they have never had the item in stock to date. At last I had a response to my e-mail telling me the item was out of stock, I replied advising them again that their website says they have them in stock.

My order shows 'Allocating Stock' and now when I try to get a reply with the online help I am ignored. I assume it shows my IP address and they are avoiding talking to me, I have e-mailed several times, each time telling them that that the item still shows 'In Stock' on the website. Most of the e-mails were ignored. I have left my number many times on the 'Call Back' feature, but never had a return call.

Now 3 1/2 weeks on my order is still showing as 'Allocating Stock' the website still shows as 'In Stock', I still cannot get to speak to anybody, via e-mail, website or telephone. I have now asked them to cancel my order as I am not prepared to deal with such a poor performing company and I suggest you all give them a wide berth. Not surprisingly I am still waiting for a reply to my e-mail cancelling the order.

I have already reported them to Trading Standards as they are committing fraud by saying they have the item in stock when they clearly don't.

Dave, if you paid by credit card, start an action with the bank, as you have paid for goods and they have not arrived. Since they are not contactable, the bank should start a claim.

I should have it by the end of today.

I managed to speak to a very helpful guy call Mel at www.persu-it.co.uk who checked the stock level and reserved on for me before phoning me back to complete the order.

It was send out via carrier for next day delivery. It is a few quid more but I received good customer service unlike the other cowboys.

No money was taken from my card, which is the one and only redeeming factor.
