I cant get this to work after the firmware upgrade.

Can anyone suggest anything.

I have re downloaded the maps.

I have been outside and have all the satellites.

I cant find an address it keeps saying not found.

When I start the maps it does not zoom in like it used to.

I just get a blank screen.

Maybe I am missing something.

I do not want to use the internet.

Thanks for any help provided.

The new version of the Nokia Maps software on the phone does not automatically zoom into your current position like the origibnal version used to. You need to press the '0' (zero) key while in Maps or go to Options > Find Place > GPS Position.

I have found the zoom but i don't get any streets after i zoom close it then zooms to far and goes blue.

How do i put in my position??

When I zoom in should I not see streets??

Cheers

Have you looked at the thread about the known problem with maps?

It sounds like you don't have the maps downloaded properly.

I don't believe this crap.

I went on to try and re download the maps and it comes up new Map Loader v1.3.

I update and when its finished it closes so I go and open it again to download the maps.

Lo and behold it tells me theres a new upgrade v1.3 what I already did this.

I cancel and go to get the maps then it says.

The map data on your device is not compatible with the map data available through Nokia Map Loader" but the voices are there and at the bottom of the map loader it says its v1.3

What is going on??

I have written to Nokia but no reply yet and that was a week ago.

Should I get rid of the Maps and go for another product??

Nokia do not deserve our custom.

Cheers

On drive E: of your phone (memory card) youll find a file called simply qf. Edit it with a notepad. I dont know if it stores also some extra information about the phone so I wont show here mine, but the only thing you have to do is to change voice_mode into map_mode in this file.

Save it and try again sending maps onto the phone.

Many thanks on Ranza and once again feel shame on NOkia as user found the solution themselves instead of Nokia...

Hurray i can go HK with map now.. but sad with the tracking function missings

Thanks thats half the problem fixed I now have the maps.

There is just one problem.

I cant make a route it keeps saying no results found.

These are addresses I used before the upgrade.

I can scroll on the maps from my location and thats it.

How do I make a route??
