Is it protected because its part of an application... like Boingo??

If so, you need to remove the app first from memory.

Hmmmm right interesting!!!!! how do I find out what application is using it? I`m ot sure as I have lots of stuf on the phone? It won`t be truphone by any chance will it:?

yeah, if its devicescape it will be like boingo then... and will be part of the app as devicescape is for roaming wifi access ala boingo..

try removing any app you have like that, .. have a look for the phone icon over icons in Download!

Look in devicescape forums, this has been discussed there and tells you solution to remove it...
