3650 supports Bluetooth Head set ?

I have not tried this but yes, there is the BT audio profile.

Sorry, but have you actually verified that bluetooth headsets work? How did you get them to work? What brand was the headset? I can't get it to work with the HBH-30. Please share the information!

Anyone tried it with HBH-30 ????

it works very fine with HDW-2 bluetooth headset of nokia.

I have SE headset Hbh-30 that works perfectly on mine t68i, but hour that I have acquired nokia the 3650 this not of wants to know. In the connection manager legacy to it appears the audio profile, but when I make one called does not work!

HBH-30 did not work. I managed to pair the device but the 3650 does not transfer the sound. Maybe I am doing something wrong

Do you have a chinese flashed to uk beta release firmware?
I read on here somewhere that it's not on that version, it's the officail release firmware that works.

3650 supports 'handsfree' bluetooth mode not 'headset' mode.
Some headsets, such as the Nokia HDW-2 support both modes of operation so it works with the 3650. Many other headsets do not work because they don't work in 'handsfree' mode(they work in 'headset' mode).

So before purchasing a headset for the 3650, check that it supports 'handsfree' bluetooth profile as most do not (at the moment).

I am actually presenting the 3650 at cebit and also the HDW-2 and i can tell you that it works really great! Voicedialling is working with it and everything runs without any problems!Greetings from hannover and if you like to,come to cebit and visit me at nokia(hall 26) 😉

I have a 3650 with software V2.50 13/2/2003 NHL-8, and a Jabra Bluetooth Freespeak Headset, and have a similar problem to that described with the HBH-30, where it is aquired but will not transfer data. Is there a new software version that will work with this.

I have 2.50 APAC ENGLISH (NOT CHINESE) offical release and NO HEADSET profile BT devices work. To be honest I don't even know if Handsfree profile devices work as I see no way to designate a search for BT audio devices once paired.

BTW: I can pair a device and it does show it as an audio BT device in the icon.

HBH-60 work fine with 3650....

I BOUGHT A NOKIA 3650 LAST WEEK AND HAVE JUST BOUGHT THE HDW-2 HEADSET BECAUSE THE SONY ERICSSON HBH-30 WILL NOT WORK NOR WILL ANY OTHER HEADSET DUE TO NOT SUPPORTING THE HEADSET PROFILE.

THE NOKIA HDW-2 DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. MINE ALLOWS YOU TO MAKE A CALL, THE AUDIO THAT YOU HEAR ON THE CALL IS NOT AS CLEAR AS THAT OF THE HBH-30 AND YOU 95% OF THE TIME YOU CANNOT HANG UP THE CALL, BUT INSTEAD TO HAVE TO FUMBLE AROUND FOR THE PHONE AND HANG UP ON THE HANDSET ITSELF.

OCCASIONALY THE BLUETOOTH LINK IS LOST AND TAKES MINUTES OF FIDDLING AROUND TO BRING IT BACK.

OFTEN IT CALLS BACK AUTOMATICALLY FOR NO REASON AND DIALS THE LAST NUMBER YOU JUST DIALED PREVIOUSLY WHICH IS REALLY OUT OF CONTROL.

FOR THE BEST PART OF THE TIME IT FUNCTIONS OK WHICH STILL MAKES IT WORTH HAVING BUT NOKIA,NOKIA , NOKIA.........

WHY OH WHY DON'T YOU TEST THINGS BEFORE YOU RELEASE THEM! SURELY A 8 YEAR OLD TESTING IT FOR 5 MINS WOULD HAVE SPOTTED ALL THE BUGS. ARE YOU JUST UNBELIEVABLE OPTIMISTIC THAT NO ONE WILL NOTICE?

I DONT KNOW IF I NEED TO WAIT FOR A FIRMWARE REVISION FOR THE 3659 BEFORE THE HEADSET WILL WORK OVERALL SATISFACTURALLY OR IF THIS IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS.

I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS BOUGHT THIS COMBINATION OF 3650 AND HDW-2 TO MAKE SURE THAT I AM NOT AN ISSOLATED CASE WITH A POSSIBLY FAULTY HEADSET.

I got the Jabra200 first after reading on about a dozen websites that it was 3650 compliant - it was not 😞
So it went back for a refund, I've now ordered the Nokia one, hope this one works and I don't have the same trouble as you!! 😮

If you are still on the beta/pre-release 1.34 version you are out of luck : BT Handsfree was a late addition to the 3650 firmware so only works on firmware later than 2.41 and is further improved in official releases (2.50 and later). The only headsets that work are those supporting
the 'handsfree' profile : Nokia HDW2 and Ericsson HBH60 are two definites, plus various BT carkits.

Good ! I honestly didn't think that the BT handsfree was
implemented in that early version of firmware. Fortunately
for you it does actually work 😊 Later firmware will give you
a more reliable BT handsfree connection though.

Played on it for a bit longer..

A double click is meant to activate redial, but instead it crashes the phone with a 'green screen of death'
Also a click and hold should activate voice dialing, at present this does nothing.

So I guess that is what they meant by firmware 1.34 not supported.

But I can answer calls with the handsfree.
If I make calls with the handset I can hear it on the handsfree no problem.
I can watch movies and listen to music over the handsfree which is neat.

Also the phone auto connects to the headset (once paired) when you switch it on which is good.

the 3650 is supposed to be blouetooth enable yet my Jarba headset is not working. has any one been able to use a bluetooth headset with eh nokia 3650? if so which one?

Jabra does not support 3650 - yet.

So far the only ones guranteed to work that we have tested is the official nokia one HDW-2 and the SonyEricsson one - read this thread..

It's not a stereo headset - it clips over one ear, so is mono.
