Will Nokia map loader (or any other map software), let me plan a route on my laptop then upload to my phone?
I can do a search, but I'm sure someone must know already?

You probably should search, the answer is no, and yes. No for Nokia maps, yes for loads of 3rd party GPS applications.
Garmin mobile XT is nice.
