Speed

Has anyone loaded more than 700 contacts? How is the speed? Is the device responsive and stable?

I considering buying P800 to replace my mobile phone and Palm 515 so that I only need one device.

well i know somebody who has 1500 contacts and 1400 calendar entries and it's still working like you don't have nothing on it !!!

I tried to delete 10 SMS entries at a time last night and it told me "not enough memory." 😃

I had the same "not enough memory problem" using the sms app. I was trying to send a sms, but it wouldn't do it. I had to shut off and then turn on the phone. No problems since.
I have no idea what caused the problem.

that's strange cuz I just deleted 74 SMS messages at one time... no problems... took a few seconds though.

I only have around 300 contacts and about 50 calendar entries... no slow down... the P800 runs a 20mHz ARM CPU... that's at par with the LATEST Palms... so it has no problems at all... remember that the older Clie's only ran 66mHz

You mean 200MHz ARM or 20MHz. 20 is quite low as all palm today are at least 33MHz! :angel:

He means to say 200 not 20........20 would be nuts crazy.....i think that my scientific calculator has a faster cpu.....He must have did a typo......do a search and you should be able to see the actual speed.
