Im trying to use nokia map loader with the n95 8gb and it just isnt working.

I selected data trasnfer mode but the phone said cant do this as it is in use by the messaging app. So changed memory in use over to phone memory on messaging.

But map loader on the pc still says it cant detect it. "no storage medium detected.... etc"

then nothing happens to i pull use lead out and get a warning on the phone that i shouldnt do that as it might have corrupted the memory! how am i suppose to remove the usb lead safely then?

Please help

Have you got PC Suite installed?

You need to get your phone in data transfer mode recognised by your PC as a USB disk.

Once it is, to disconnect it without the shirty messages you need to Stop the device first on your PC. You should get a "Safely remove hardware" icon in your system tray next to the clock on your PC; use this.
