emTube is a client application for YouTube (lets you browse and view any video on YouTube).

I written a news story on this here or you can go staright to the author's site here.

Its a polished application for a first release and worked well for me.

Very nice! I am having a getting a bit too much stuttering to be ignored though. What's other folks' experience.

Thanks for posting.

unlike some other things .. AND auto rotate works too! batting 100%😊

doesnt work for me. it finds the videos but wont play them. that circle thing just keeps going forever and ever.

Well,it works for the most part. But I can only watch some videos and not all.If I do a search for lets say "Nokia N95".I can watch the videos that are short in length. But the ones that are about 5 minutes or longer give a "303 network error".But I'm nowhere near WiFi right now so that might have alot to do with it.Otherwise it is simply awesome that I can now view YouTube on my N95!And the auto screen rotation is a very nice addition to the fun!I definitely need to donate!

you need to use * .. as a wildcard .. space confuses the search .. so do Nokia*N95 and try again ..

Good Luck!😊

And one little thing (at least for my N95 8GB):
It does not save the 'Start video' setting. It always gets set back to 'Manually'. Can anybody confirm?

Thanks and regards,
PM

I keep getting the network errors when I try to watch the longer videos.I can only watch the videos that are around 3 minutes.Anything more than that...and bam!Network error. But it's still a very cool app.I'll have to test it out when I get home to my WiFi.I'm almost certain that it's a bandwidth problem.I'm in the US so my Edge connection blows! At least when it comes to streaming videos. The internet isn't bad.It still loads those pages pretty quick. But even still,it's an awesome application to have to show off to friends why the N95 can't be touched!lol.

settings ... see if that helps .. I have no problems .. but am using a fast wifi connex .. YMMV on 3G etc

Good Luck .. please report back if it helps .. "knowledgebase" stz😊

Sebastian, the developer, confirmed that the settings do not seem to be saved correctly, he wants to correct it ASAP.

Well I can't even install this. I keep getting update error! I've tried the standard S60 v3 and the N95 version but neither wants to install. Grrr.

Thanks very much for the link, works great on my N95 8GB!

No '*' needed for the search, either. Spaces work fine.

Let me guess - you have the Nokia Activity Monitor installed?

Hi do you have the link to get this software to enable watching youtube videos? wow does it realy work without the flash lite 3?

would love to try it out

errr yes. Is that the offending culprit? I even changed it for the latest version. mmmm, ok, I'll remove it and try again. Thanks.

EDIT - OK, removed Activity Monitor, tried again but no joy. Same Update Error message, so back to the drawing board.

Er.... Yes.... Did you actually read this thread at all...? :con?

Hi, so can anybody tell me how you can watch the downloaded videos from Emtube? ie there is an option to download and save them to memory card but there seems to be no way to watch the downloaded ones?

Any help please?

Okay, pitty then 😞 You know, there were issues (well, exactly this one with 'Update error'😉, when you had the newest sports tracker (1.64) installed and wanted to install the Activity monitor. So i thought it might be the same here.

You *could* try uninstalling SportsTracker as well, but I also have it installed and it workes fine for me...

Sorry mate 😊

does this do anything that vtap.com doesn't?

Cheers

It works for me .. which vtap doesn't .. the fact that your selections are going through a third party web-site always strikes me as .. suspect.

It does auto rotate which since vtap doesn't work for me I'm not sure if thats a plus. But it doesn't need flash 3 ..

so yeah .. IMO this IS the best Youtube access method available. 😊

This is just a quick update.

After many, many, many tries I still couldn't get it to work on my network connection alone. The only way that it would work is if I was using a WiFi connection. But that was until I updated my FW to v20.Which is simply amazing if I might add.The update changed my network configuration alot.I no longer had the Cingular MMS and MediaNet settings.I now have AT&T MMS and AT&T MediaNet settings. But the new one that was added is AT&T Internet. And When using that as the access point I can now watch whatever video I want.So I'm guessing there was something going on with my old network settings that was causing it not to work.Either way,it now works and is amazing. And I highly recommend to update your FW if you haven't already. It makes the N95-1 a power house!lol.

does anyone else get the File Unsupported error? i have everything installed, but when the file starts to download it says file unsupported.

similarly, when i use samir's app, i get Flash 8 not supported error.

Works pretty well over Wi-Fi except that it does get a little choppy sometimes and it quit a few times trying to load videos but it's still the best thing out the to watch YouTube videos IMO... If they fix it up and improve it a little bit, it will be an awesome app.

For those experiencing choppy playback, try letting the file download fully before playing, i've found this to help on my phone. Biggest flaw i've found is once seached, and having played one video, if you go back then select "more videos" it crashes completely out of the app every time. This only happens after playing a video, if you don't it works fine. I have an N95 classic. Anyone else noticed this?
