I get very choppy playback of the sound, whether I download the video first or not, or save to the memory card or the phone's memory. The video is fine.

Ah right AndyM, i see, well it plays fine on mine audiowise, but it is jerky video whilst downloading i've found. This is a really good app, it will be interesting to see what the next version brings in fixing these minor bugs. Congrat's to the auther for doing this and Happy Xmas to all 😊

On an e61 with wifi, playback is choppy, even after allowing it too download 100%.

I've already downloaded the app the first day this thread posted.I've been using just fine with no problems at all. It's the best YouTube app so far.Minus the fact that AT&Ts Edge speeds are not very good. But my question is,why does this app require access to all you personal info?Network, contacts, msgs, etc?I don't really see a point to it needing access to that info. And more so,is it safe?I haven't had any problems. But I was just curious.TIA

New version available now at http://www.emtube.yoyo.pl/

Changelog as below, I think this is the best freeware program ever, if you like it send the guy a small donation using the links on the page, he deserves it.

23-12-2007: Version 1.0.4 has been released. Check Download section below for the link to the application.

Changelog:
New: Created one binary for all phones, functionality is the same. Application will use the accelerometer if possible.
New: When saving a video its YouTube title is used as an initial file name. It still can be changed in a file selection box.
New: emTube now remembers the last path used to load or save video files.
New: Added Italian translation (by Enrico Santagati).
New: Added flv recognizer.
New: Added 2 new settings items: autorotate and temp drive selection.
Fixed: Search queries now accept national characters (for example Chinese or Polish).
Fixed: Settings are now correctly saved when a user exits settings view.
Fixed: emTube doesn't freeze anymore when a user presses Back while a movie is played.
Fixed the "unknown/unsupported file format" problem.
Fixed problems with audio decoding on some phones (for example N76).
Fixed several bugs in a search view, emTube shouldn't crash while video browsing anymore.

Yep, this later version (and the flvrecognizer perhaps?) means I no longer get the "unknown format" (or whatever the error message was before), very nice!
