I am one of those people who gets a little giddy for bySamir's products. I am excited as hell for Nokmote, and now i'm getting excited for ShutUp.

Don't be put off by the un-necessarily long and poorly edited video, it gets to the main point eventually 😃

I was thinking about this program, how does it work?(don't say accelerometer, cos i know that much). Does it rely on the fact that your phone is flat, and faced upwards? Is it only to be used in this situation? What happens if you're out walking, you might end ShuttingUp someone who you didn't mean to!
Any ideas anyone?
it looks like it would rely on a 180 degree flip from a flat position... otherwise, say for example it was in your pocket, when youtook it out it would 'shut up'

Yeah, i'm thinking that the 180 degree rotation thing is the key, but to be honest, it's so rare that i ever have my phone flat on the desk infront of me. Looks like this program might be a novelty.
I think it'd be handy if you could shake it back and forth a few times. I know it might seem lazy, but it'd be fun, and also if it was a pretty set rotation in the shake it'd be hard to emulate in your pocket! (hopefully)
I'd rather press the "silence" button. Much less effort.

I Think the most usefull feature that could come of this app, is whilst on a call, you could place it flat on a table and it will automatically activate Loudspeaker.
Or maybe placing flat face down on table whilst in a call puts it on mute (whilst you go and answer the door or whatever...)
I agree the Silent button is probably a much quicker way of muting ring tone, than shaking the phone... but its the idea that counts!

Yeah, I love the loudspeaker idea mate!! It's actually something that i do very often when on the phone. I'd definately email samir and see what he thinks.
And i agree completely about trying new innovative things. The world would be dul without the wierd and wonderful little things in life.
