N95 8GB - TV-Out Usage

Hiya,

I just picked up my N95 8GB on Saturday and I am VERY impressed with it so far, seem's to be incredibly stable and lives up to all the reports that Nokia have fixed all the std N95's bugs in one go.

My only critisism's are the lack of lens cover on the screen at the back....... AND......

I started watching Spiderman3 the otherday and then saw the hold on the side and thought it was an earphone slot, so I read in the manual and discovered to my delight and surprise that the phone had a TV-Out port, so immediately, I connected the cable to the TV and to my phone and proceeded to play the movie through the TV..... great, but then I thought, oh, i'll see if it shows all my pictures and video's come up on the tv too to see the quality of them, then to my SHOCK HORROR, they had ALL been deleted..... ALL OF THEM ! !!😮😮😮😮😮

Has anybody else had this issue or is it just me ?

Its nice to know that I have the ability to show pictures and video's on the TV, but am I gonna have to do a full backup of all my pictures and video's before doing so ?

Cheers,

Scott

Blimey, that's a bit of bad luck.

On the N95-1 with V12 and V20 firmware, I have not had this issue when connecting to my monitor.

It sounds like it might be a coincidence, but I'm not sure how it would happen.

You haven't deleted these things from your Lifeblog have you? I did this once before I realised it actually removes the images and videos from your phone for good! :frown:

I don't really see how plugging in the TV-out could make this happen - it does sound like a co-incidence.

I have removed everything from lifeblog, but I did that a few days earlier, all the images and video's were there before I connected the phone to the TV, now I dont want to test it again just incase I loose all the pictures etc again (and potentially more) 😞

Why don't you store your images to PC using the PC suite and try again, that way your piccies are backed up.

Never happened when I used the TV out, sorry to hear fella. Backing it up is all good, but you dont expect you files to get deleted of the phone, everytime you want to use the big screen.
