Hi, I've just bought a Nokia E65. Previously, I owned a N70.
I own an old Orange french tariff with a GSM CSD WAP connection included.
My N70 couldn't connect in this mode. ( due to his Internet 3G-only technology :frown😊
But I was surprised that my new E65 can hold a connection in this mode!
It works well! ( low-speed but free ).😊
But there is a drawback, my E65 MUST be in "GSM Mode" ( or "dual mode" automatically switched to GSM ).
To be sure to succeed my connection, I must switch, in "Network" menu, "dual mode" to "GSM only" and therefore a sad reboot is needed by the phone.:icon13:
Symbian seems not to manage a GSM network switch when to make a CSD Data call. In dual mode, my E65 is often switched to 3G UMTS network, so it doesn't work.
Do you know a solution ?
Maybe a little free tool that can carry out a manual switch in "dual mode"?
Maybe a specific command in "Modem initialisation" ?
Thanks for your help.
