sorry if this has been asked before but has anyone tried this extended battery which is 1400mah and comes with a new back cover as its silighty larger?
none in stock at the moment and im wondering if its worth keeping an eye on.
battery
Yes it's been asked countless times. Avoid any non-official Nokia batteries, they use dodgy chemicals and will last 3-6 months at best if they don't leak, overheat or explode before that!
that would be cool to see but would bugger your warranty
saying that when are they going to bring out a larger battery?
There was talk of nokia releasing a bigger battery cover, so the 8GB N95's battery would fit. I havent heard anymore about it though.

Quit with your alarmist rubbish. These batteries use exactly the same chemical composition as the genuine product. They are not inferior, nor do they only last 3 to 6 months. You are just numb to paying double or triple the price of what the originals actually cost. Here in Asia, 8-10 pounds will get you the genuine thing for the N95, these higher capacity batteries are selling for just slightly above that price. If one buys the cheap knockoff, at worst one of the cells might just die after a year or so, absolutely no different to the real thing.
Given the worlds hysteria at any exploding consumer product, these batteries completely hold their own - there is a total lack of evidence to back up your claims that failures are a regular occurrence.
