Is there a way to give my n95 asian font support (chinese, korean, japanese, etc.) without having to change the product code or flash it? I'm really tired of seeing my songs in squares. lol I've already done some research around the forums but I couldn't really find any answers. Thanks!

No, you have to flash it. I don't believe there's a way to support multiple different languages (for example, Chinese and Japanese) simultaneously. I flashed my N95 to an Asian product code and now I have Chinese characters (both simplified/traditional) showing up instead of the squares.

Flashing isn't very complicated actually, and if you don't have the latest (version 20) of the firmware, I suggest you do it anyways just to upgrade. You're going to lose all the data anyways, so why not take a few extra minutes to change the product code if you want Chinese support.

Ya, I've already changed the product code twice with my phone but I'd rather want to do something more "clean" than having to flash my phone. lol I'm just anal like that. but if there's no way, then it sucks for me.

Thanks for the answers, I truly appreciate it! 😃

Hi,

does anyone know what the product code is for Japan? I tried a few, and now can read Japanese in some applications but cannot input in any applications or even read Japanese in the browser. Cheers.

there's a giant black hole in the nokia universe .. that is Japan .. I suspect they either can't or won't compete with the Japanese manufacturers in their home-market. The N95 is a great phone don't get me wrong but some of the Japanese handsets have features the 95 lacks badly.
Optical zoom 5M camera .. VGA screen .. DVB receiver ..

Your only option for getting Japanese support on the N95 is 3rd party.

Good luck!😊
