N95 Crashes on Start Up

I don't know if it's due to any apps I've installed on the memory card or phone, but quite often when I start the phone up, I get a memory full error and the phone locks. Power down and up again and it starts back with the Nokia N Series 1 Theme with no Image for wallpaper. On other occasions, it seems to get a bit confused with memory errors popping up. I've only used a paltry 200Mb of my 8 Gb card, or is it more to do with available ram? Any suggestions would be welcome, or any other users with same problems?

Does the problem still occur if you remove the memory card and reboot?
Perhaps the memory card is corrupt or even faulty?

If not, then you could try formatting the Internal Phone memory to see if it was corrup/bad application.

If all else fails, you may have a faulty N95, so take it to a Nokia Care Centre.

I'd be looking at re-formatting (resetting) the phone by using the GREEN * and 3 buttons while turning on the phone.

backup first of course!

this will put the phone into a known state .. if you continue to have issues beyond this then
1. a re-flash with the latest firmware

still a problem?
2. its a hardware fault .. take it in for repair/replacement

Good Luck!😊

Thanks very much for your replies which I have noted. I exited the Rotate Me app and the phone seems stable since it's been disabled (fingers crossed). If it happens again though, I'll certainly consider your options.
Cheers,
Peter

Its prob talking about the ram if your loading lots of things upon startup
