blimey...would really appreciate some help if you can

So i would like to use AIM / MSN on my n95. I've tried a couple of 3rd party apps (slick / agile) but they don't work.

reading around, i've found some talk of being able to configure the handset's IM app to handle aim / msn...but possibly not here in the UK - a bit confused actually

Any ideas? It's really driving me up the wall :con?

tia

Try Gizmo - it's a VoIP app but it also supports AIM (and others - I think MSN too but not sure - I just use AIM). It integrates really well with your phone (adds a new tab to your Contacts and it doesn't have it's own funky user interface - it's a native app).

Get it from here:
http://www.nokia.com/betalabs/applications

I've tried fiddling with the built-in app but I was never able to get it to download my contacts from the IM server - I just sign on to it, can chat and add contacts manually but that's as far as I got until I started using Gizmo and have been happy with it ever since.

i use Slick and love it. its free and supports all the IM services. and when its minimized to the background, a little pop up window shows up on your home screen when you have a new message. also i used IM+ but slick is a million times better, and FREE.

sorry i dont know about the built in message app of n95. i dont understand why slick or IM+ or Agile wouldnt work for you...they are the best ones.
