MS Exchange interfacing

So, I've owned a 68i & now the 800.. love both.. BUT neither one (and generally most mobile phones) do a decent job of integrating w/MS Exchange. Doing it through SMTP & IMAP is not only *very* insecure, but it doesnt take advantage of the variety of functions that Exchange offers.

Here in the states, Tmobile offers a Tzones PRO service with which they do a backend integration w/your corporate exchange server & bypass these problems.. however, as an IT mgr, I'd much rather be having the individual clients attaching to the exchange server myself (although securely).

Is there any development efforts/products available that:

1. Offer a more secure IMAP/SMTP?
2. Even better, a MS Outlook'ish' client for the P800 that can attach to exchange securely?

thanks,

rob

In case any of you are interested in this, there are two companies with solutions to this problem I've been able to find:

Starfish & ExtendSystems.

ExtendSystems wrote a server/client app for Nokia (Symbian), ported it over. Beta version 3.6 of the server is out, trying to get my hands on it.

Nothing yet on Starfish. Dropped them an email today.

If anyone else is looking into this type of integration, would love to compare notes. I'm doing this as a personal project before, potentially rolling it out into my IT dept.
