What would be really handy is screen rotation in all four directions. I'd actually pay for that.
Yes I concur. I had the same thought some time ago. Technically it would be possible I am sure. Quite easy I must add, the only complicated part is the re-assigning of the arrow keys for different orientation.

Please write some of these simple applications and since they are just essentially simple applications dont expect anything in return.
orpheus120 absolutely hit the nail on the head. Essentially we are discussing semantics here.. "payment" or "donation". I agree totally with his explanation and definitions and those who don't really need to move on.
It has, however, been a very interesting discussion and there are a few points I would like to make;
1. Some posters have mentioned theft and stealing software licences etc. Can you really steal FREEWARE? Samir makes a massive play on his web site that this programme is freeware and always will be so how can you steal it?
2. Surely the only people who have the beta are Samir and the people who have donated? The link must have been posted by a donor as I can't see Samir doing it, can you? Who's the hypocrite then?
3. Some interesting facts about donations. If you call it a payment does Samir need to set up a company and pay tax? If you call it a donation and make it free do you not?
4. One of the posters said he hoped Samir made a lot of money from his software. Is he paying tax on this. If not, is he not stealing from you and me the taxpayer. Maybe we're into semantics again LOL.
5. My final point relates to donations. A poster mentioned a donation of 0.75. Is this really going to help development? Recently a well known band released a new album on the net and only asked for donations. I read a report that the average donation came in at less than 2 hehe. Is that fair or theft?
Finally I think that people that live in glass houses should not throw stones. Samir is neither a saint or a sinner and people should make up their own minds and not slag off other people who happen to disagree.
:tongue:
funny how the bulk of these whiners are from people with very few posts, probably got here from google and need to defend the fact that are a thiefs.
agree with samir or not, you download from that link thats all your are plain and simple.
now i suggest you lot move on as the guy above put it
It seems you cannot give an opinion on here unless you are an avid Samir supporter ?
Well the pied piper aint got me under his spell and I aint no thief...
I do not have rotateme /nokmote or any other Samir app on my n95 so don't throw accusations about people being thieves unless you have proof...
course people can have an opinion and did i accuse you?? err no but judging by your reaction i do wonder now.
im no longer going to follow this thread its pointless now
