Deleting .sis files

Hello,

While trying the conserve memory, I am wondering if it's OK to delete *.sis files in the Communicator\system\install directory. I had inadvertently left the "No" - Delete install file after use in the Preference section of the Install/Remove in Control Panel.

Deleting *.sis files - Is this safe to do?
Thanks

You can delete them, though I prefer to move them to a similarly named directory on the MMC drive. Don't delete or move the install.log - leave that on the C drive.

I did set "del files after intstalling to yes", but they still are in CSystem\install.........
Does someone knows why???

It deletes the .sis file where you are installing from..

Those .sis in \install are not the same.. i think those only includes file names what must deleted if user wants to uninstall. (not sure)

These files are to uninstall the programs!!! If you remove them you wont be able to uninstall anything!!!!!!!
"Delete SIS file after installation" is for the installation file you run...
You can install programs 2 ways from PC Suite or direct from the communicator if you copy the sis file...!!! (I hope I helped you!)
