Merry Xmas to you all...

I`ve been doing a lot of research in the past few months about the N95 and the more i read, the more i get confused!. :con?
I am not a fan of sliders but the only candybar phone with similar n95 specs is the N82 and i really dont like it`s screen size, brightness and keypad!
This leaves the N95 classic and N95 8gb as the two available options.

I like the N95 classic coz of the memory card slot(i tend to keep my phone for a year or so before changing to another model and with Micro SdHC cards becoming more available and cheaper....buying a 16GB card within the next may be 6-7 months is an option...right?).

On the other hand,i like the look, the screen size and the amount of free ram of the N95 8gb(i am not sure if the free ram improvement in n95-1 firmware v20 is as efficient as the whopping 90 mb of ram in the 8gb version!,am also not sure if the battery performance got any better with n95-1 v20!)

Being interested in the new ngage games, the possibility of N95-1 support for landscape ngage gaming is minimal while n95 8gb support for such feature is confirmed(with the ability of remaping the multimedia keys too!).:icon14:

I know that this topic has been discussed here lots of times but since i am planning to buy one of these phones in the coming few days,i would really appreciate some sincere advise especially from poeple who used both phones

With less than 30 mins of calls,a couple of sms, half an hour of internet browsing thru wifi, half an hour of internet thru 3.5G,snapping a couple of pics and recording few mins of 30fps video,an hour of gaming in landscape mode, and less than 15 mins using bluetooth/day........should i go for the N95 classic and save approx. 130$ and suffer from poor battery life(unless i buy an extended 1400 mah battery which costs around 40$) and less capable multitasking(compared to n95-2) or pay that extra cash to get the n95 8gb then suffer from the lack of expandable memory and may be from relatively poor battery as well?!😮

N.B: i didnt include the N95-3 since i use 3.5G in the middle east.

thanks in advance and sorry for taking much space😊

The N95 8gb is the dogs boll**ks honestly.

I am amazed by its complexity and good looks.

Just buy one the N95-1 is old technology so don't buy it.

old technology!.....doesnt the N95-1 and the N95-2 have practically the same hardware(same cpu,gps,3D chip,camera, os...etc)?

I hate Americanisms, and don't mind so much Pommie slang, but to me, dogs bollocks sounds like it is crap rather than good, or is the *new* Pommie slang to talk about something really good by saying it is really crap??:con?
The ONLY thing the 8G gives is a slightly bigger screen real-estate, a heap more RAM (way less of an issue now V20 is out for the classic) and NO expandable memory option by way of removing the MicroSD slot (albeit to include 8G internally, which is still a tad pricey option for the classic to get an 8G card, but 2x4Gs does the same 😊).
..Oh, and no camera screen protector... (and a slightly larger battery to juice up the bigger screen).
Apart from that, 99% identical.
Regards

i wouldn't go with the 8 gb
becuase of anything to happend to your phone ur screwed becuase it doesn't have external memory
but instead still for the N95-2
and just purchase 8gb memory card 😊

You forgot mentioning the better multimedia buttons and all-black finish. I mean, in addition to the double RAM size (>90 MB free at startup), 25% battery size increase and 8GB internal memory.
