Predictive text - remove words from dictionary?

Hi guys, I've had my Nokia 73 for a few months and it's great. But is there a way to edit the predictive text dictionary?

I'm getting words like 'youp' instead of 'your', and I'd really like to remove them. Maybe there's a way to re-order them? Any help would be appreciated!

Edit the .dat file in C:\Predic

You can easily remove compound and mis-spelled words but be careful to keep the file fomatting the same (number of spaces, non-alpha characters etc).

Also, as a quick tip - if you don't like certain predictive sequences taking priority (eg "he" appearing before "if", "me" before "of" etc.) just keep cycling the options with * until the Spell option appears then add the word. This word will then always appear as the first option in future.

Cheers,

Chris

Thanks for the info Drofidnas. I searched the n73 for the Predic folder but that doesn't appear to exist. I have the hidden files option set to visible on my pc, but could the Nokia be stopping me from seeing the folder? What explorer/browser do you use?

Edit: Found the file after I installed Y-Bowser. Thanks Drofidnas, I removed the mis-spelled words and it's all perfect!
