I tried downloading maps for my phone using WAP but it was not able to install it (cant remember the error it gave). I have the old N73 (not music edition) and I want to know if maps are available for my phone and region (South Africa) and if I need to up date my OS to install maps (is this possible over WAP or do I need Nokia PC suit)
Nokia Maps for N73
i installed nokia maps on my n73 , connecting my phone using usb cable, through pc suite using 3 (australia) mobile broadband(3g) connection, using the phone itself as the modem. my phone is a 'standard' n73, software version is 3.0638.0.0.1
but nokia maps is not worth it, like anything thats 'free'. it really struggles to find simple addresses without internet/data connection. and if u really have to use data connection, google maps is way better that nokia maps.
and best of all, tomtom, which never requires any data connection and always finds more that u need. although it's not free, but people always seem to overcome that 'financial' factor.😉
