t-mob are well known for slow fw release. Either generic it and loose the web'n'walk app which is essentially just a web browser anyway, or wait I guess.

Do what i did, just write/text the T mob w&w home to a different phone do the update then when it's all back up and run text yourself back the Addy open this when it's open just save it as your new home page easy as that :icon14:

I can fully understand the meaning of every word you've used, but your method of linking them together has melted my brain. What are you saying? 😊

what do you mean by generic??

much appreciated

I mean move it from a T-mob product code to a generic product code (i.e. one that isnt set to any service provider at all and is a standard set) Theres a thread on updating it with NSS and NSU.

I had to read it a couple of times too lol. He's saying, write down the web and walk homepage address, then do the debrand and update (see sticky posts in this forum), and copy the address back in. I wouldn't bother to be honest, the web n walk homepage isn't exactly a big loss anyway!
I really don't see why t-mobile bother branding the firmware anyway, apart from the web n walk logo and homepage it is exactly the same as the generic firmware!

yeah, I wouldnt bother either... the web bookmarks are littered with T-mobile stuff on mine even tho I am on gerneric, so it picks up from SIM probably.. :@

I find its just a lot easier to use google as homepage and organise your favourites efficiently so you have everything within easy reach.

I dont like the T-Mobile portal as it is full of tacky adverts for ringtones!

Yeah, there is nothing on the t-mobile portal you can't access elsewhere more quickly and 'cleanly'. I have bookmarks as my homepage and then keep links to all the sites I use (BBC news, sports, google, wikipedia etc).

I found the phone automatically entered the WnW Address under a "T-Mobile" bookmark when I did mine should you be desperate to access it.
