just wondering if there is any software for the n95 were you can send an acurate gps posion by text, the nokia software lets you send you location by street name, but i was thinking out of town, tought it would be useful for snowboarding.

n95 gps posistion
If you use the GPS Data app, that gives you your location using Latitude and Longitude. Problem is you'd have to text it yourself. 😞
Garmin Mobile XT does this from any location via SMS.
Also try 3d tracking - its completely free except for data transfer to the server.

The message that you send from within the Maps app has a .lmx attachment (which contains lat/long) if you send it by email (options - use this place - send). Not sure about sms or mms: you'll have to try it out. Unfortunately, my wife's TomTom uses a different format. Then of course there's Google .kmz format. I just wish they'd standardise the format or at least have import/export.
cheers a few solutions thier i'm going to try..:icon14:
