CDMA for 9210????

hey can anyone tell me if i can somehow make my 9210 run on the CDMA network with some software, or is it hardware related. or am i just talking out of my ASS. User posted image
The CDMA network has just started in india & i wanted to know if i could use this phone, cause its soo much cheaper that GSM (its the same as our landline).
I know i'm giving up a better service for a poorer one, but just a question in my head.... anyone?

Not wishing to upset your money saving scheme, but I believe the difference in network is tackled by hardware not software. But you could probably use IR to talk to a CDMA handset for data calls.

Hmm...is it the same way as we use a GPRS-cellphone to connect 9210 with the infrared?
