I have a vodafone branded N73 (from Vodacom, South Africa) and the stupid branded silver cover started to look really nasty with the paint coming off.
I have taken good care of it (no dropping, no keys with it in my pockets etc), but the paint started to chip after 3-4 months. The slightly raised edge around the screen has become completely white (colour of the plastic underneath the silver paint).
Any one with similar problems?
Same problem here... a bit naff really isn't it!
I was considering giving it a lick of paint at some stage... masking off and maybe giving it a black outline maybe?

Dont they sell new cases for them?
Although with a non genuine one, chances are it'll rub off rather fast.
I cant see any genuine ones on ebay.

There's a company called Gmask that applies a thin film to the phone, making it scratchproof and peelproof. It's some kind of Japanese technology, takes about an hour.
I have a silicone case that basically covers the edges of the phone, leaving the screen, keypad, IR ports, camera, etc, uncovered and I'm very happy with it. My phone has already fell to the ground twice and the silicone protected it from damage :icon14: I bought 2 on ebay for a cheap price.
Shame on Nokia for This all...

I have N73 black ed which is loosing color from camera/Volume keys and the keypad (silver/Joystick part).:frown:
:frown: Saddens me as well! Tell you something friends I have not come across many places where people have things to say against their Nokia phones. I do also have the same set and it developed problems for me in course of time and I was thinking this was something exceptional in my case. Problems may be different but the consequence is same after all i.e. a lot of headache as to how we can get things right.

Me too, my N73 is just over a year old now, i'm a builder by trade, the silicone covers are great, coupled with an overlay to protect the screen too.
The case and the keys are immaculate, although, i do have an Ebay special on my N95, the cover is chipping, the keys are pealing - are you guys sure you dont already have cheap Chinese Nokia-Off covers??.....
