Running with Nokia SportsTracker

I started my new year get kit campaign last night, and decided to keep tabs on it all with my N95 and SportsTracker app to see how I progress.

Head on over to my blog if you have time for a read CLICKY LINKY

Shameless advertising 😉

Kidding, good luck. Incidentally, how do you 'hold' the N95 while running? Presumably it needs a clear view of the sky for the GPS but having it in your hand would give poor pedometer readings (not to mention sweating up the phone and risks of droppage!

Inspired by your post, I downloaded the upgrade. When running (the application) would it cost extra to use on my tariff that doesn't include data? The GPRS icon does the connected thingy when I launch it, but I'm not going to use it if there are extra data costs?

Please don't post the same question in multiple threads, it gets confusing and inevitably takes one of the threads off topic

I used the sports tracker when running and find sometimes, it just looses singal when Im carrying it. I tried it after that with my seperate GPS unit and it was a joke, cause I was carrying so much!

Anyway, the fluctuations I had made for some interesting running skills. I just use the nike+ and ipod kit now which I dont have to worry about carrying so much and seems to record a better reading

Is that a freudian slip? You're really just going to sit in the living room acquiring all sorts of new audio/video goodies?

Haha, I hadnt noticed that! I'm sure Mrs_R would see it that way though, with my new N800 arriving the other day😃

@3shirts I kept my N95 closed in top pocket of the Berghaus Paclite jacket that I use. That may be why I am getting a few spurious readings on the GPS. Will try next time with it open if its not too much hassle and see if that is any better.
