im a new 95 owner on o2 in the UK although its a new phone im no stranger to the platform i had a S60 series phone since my Nokia 6260 :turtle:
now im with the N95 and so far im loving it, although o2 seem to have neglected to bother coming up with the latest firmware (no surprises took them forever with the N73 updates 😡 )
i thought id pop by though and see what tips and tricks you folks could offer and any free apps that might be worth installing
so far i have tomtom navigator 6 running and a really bad stopwatch and thats it😊
i would recommend samir's apps ie rotate me, nokmote etc. not essential but great! also truphone and em tube. Taskman and a file explorer like fexplorer are also quite handy. forgot to menton for rotate me and nokmote to work you need to install the accelometer. you will find that on samir's site or by browsing on here
Ricky over at S-G.com posted a list of good ones the other day CLICKY LINKY
emTube, Nokia Sportstracker, Shozu, and Nokia Internet radio are all good recommendations from me.
Oh, and get rid of the crappy O2 firmware, and update to V20... You won't regret it 😉 Info on how to do it at the top of this forum in the stickies
Thanks fella's shockingly i discoverd using the firmware code input that it is actually up to the latest version! so no complaints from me! i have downloaded the accelerometer but cant get the rotate me to work just yet as you need a signed version which i have no idea on how to accomplish lol i got the lightsaber working though lol
a query i have is on my old N73 i could crop a wallpaper to a square Res and it would fit, now my n95 is acting weird and cutting off edges of wallpapers its strange! i have looked high and low for the correct res but there seems to be no agreement

You sure? *#0000# on the keyboard should show you V20, dont rely on what software updater is telling you....
Should look like this...presuming you havent got the 8Gb version......
