I've a midi file in my PC that I want to transfer to my phone, but the software that comes with my 7650 only allows me to transfer images (I've IR connection)

How do I transfer it? (Yes, I've checked the FAQ first, and I've found no answer)

cheers

Send it as email attachment or if you have BT or IR then,
right click file -> send to -> IR or BT

Do what I did, make your own WAP page (simple as hell) and download it from there with your phone. 😃

If you got IRDA drivers correctly installed in your Windows O.S follow these steps:

1- Enable IrDa reception in your phone and place it in front of the computers IrDA receptor.
2-A small icon should appear in the taskbar (a red diode blinking, going red and green all the time).
3-The right-click on it and choose the send files option in the menu
4-Browse the computer for the midi and press Send
5-You'll recive a Infrared Device Message on the phone with an object in it.... A BRAND NEW MID you can use as RINGTONE!

That works for me. Wish you luck.

PLEASE POST WINDOWS VERSION WHEN POSTING THINGS LIKE THIS.

numerous ways to do this:

1] Just open the send to iR device window [available in the sys tray when connected] then simply select file

2] When connected an Icon should appear on the desktop, simply drag the file you desire to transfere onto that icon, and the file will be copied to the phone

3] As another poster posted, right click>send to>iR device>....
