im selling my new n95 8gb because i need some of the money back. i recently purchased it 12/27/2007 its a great phone as you know better than anything else. i would like $550 or best offer. i can only accept money orders because i dont have paypal. email me at [email protected] for my phone number or for pics if interested. includes everything in original box. thank you

Money orders only and a post count of 3? I wouldn't buy a phone without any payment protection, I advise you sign up to paypal, it'll help the sale if indeed, this is a genuine sale. Sounds a bit dodgy to me.

Not nessacarily, although Id certainly caution anyone thinking of buying a phone without any protection, I certainly wouldnt do it. My advice to the seller is use ebay.

I concur, I wouldn't even consider buying a phone like this unless I could see the official sales receipt, pictures of the IMEI sticker on the side of the box, as well as a short video of the phone screen showing the results of *#06# - if it was purchased by credit card, I'd also investigate that too.

I'd also get in touch with the address on the sales receipt and check things out from that end as well.

This is not to say that the seller is anything less than genuine, it's just that the internet has brought in far more noise than signal, not much can be trusted at face value any longer.

Selling it after such a short period of time is definitely odd, I'm not sure what currency your dollar value belongs to, probably US, though that price for a used N95-8G is far too high. They can be had now, brand new, in the high 3 to low 4 hundred range these days in Asia. The N82 has kicked the back out of the N95 price point.

For anyone interested, this individual has attempted to sell an iphone as well - sorry link to another forum.

Why would someone buy it, use it for 2 weeks, then sell it. This is suspect as hell.
I am betting it is a contract phone, and thus they didn't fork out much up front for it, and are trying to fool someone into paying full price for a phone that is likely locked to the pre-paid or provider network.

I agree that this may not be the most safe way to get a 8GB. But $3-400 for a brand new? Are you kidding me? You asians are SO lucky! In my country it's something like $1.000 without a contract. $3-400? Wow...

i actually paid $800 dollars cash for it from cell rite in our mall. i have everything it came with. and also i have never heard of a way to get unlocked phones cheaper with a contract. i have ATT service. im in florida if your close you can come pick it up like i said i need some of the money back that i spent on it. its not a scam email me for pictures if interested. i will also give you my phone number so that we dont have to keep going throught emails

oh yeah i have an ebay account but its only a buyers account.

yes i did attempt to sell my iphone(4gb) for $200 because i got tired of it. but some one bought it locally. so as you can see did anyone say that i tried to scam them. i took no money from anyone. dumb fool

Nice attitude to take when trying to make a sale 🙄

Hehe. Yes, that's when you should be at your nicest 😊

Anyway, seller, just hold your 8GB up in front of your monitor showing this thread and take a picture of it, then everyone can see that you actually have it and get on with doing business 😊

i have uploaded 3 pics of the phone box and also a pic of me holding the box in front of my screen on this forum. i would show you pics of the phone but thats the only camera that i have to take pics. also i had to loe=wer picture quality to 2mp becuase at 5mp the file were too large to upload to this site

Wow, I wish I could make $250 in a couple of weeks, those cell phone shops must rub their hands together with glee when they see you walk in! 😊
I suppose I don't know all your circumstances surrounding why you would spend so much for something, then get rid of it 2 weeks later (twice really when you said you also got rid of the Iphone), but you have to admit it still sounds suss... hence the being wary bit. Also, this is an international forum, many countries use the $ symbol for their currency, it is a good idea to say exactly which $ it is (well, we know now, US$).

I can take lots of photos of a contract phone box and sell the phone to someone and it could be a nice expensive brick when they go to use it, that is all.

Upgrade it to an account you can sell on then, or even simpler, sign up again with a proper account.

Problem solved.

You have more chance of pigs developing wings and flying over your house than anyone off here buying off you with out some form of protection.

First.... do you have $550US? 😊 I believe someone has a sexy black brick for sale that you could use as spares LOL.
There are plenty of *other* threads on the AAS forums discussing your question, I really don't think this thread is relevant.
