Chinese Language/Input on N95 8GB?

As the title said folks. I just got my N95 8GB on 3 network yesterday. Amazing phone with amazing camera, totally love it except it's much more complicated compared to the usual mobile phones. I am still trying to figure out much about Symbian OS and firmware upgrade.

Every year I go to China for fair bit times visiting friends, family etc (hence, I need Chinese text input in order to send/receive texts). Usually whenever I get a new phone, I would always just go to a phone dealer in China Town to get my phone changed (debranding, getting Chinese version of OS)

However, with this N95 8GB, I know it's an expensive and complicated phone and I would rather try to change it myself than just handing it out to strangers easily. I know you can update firmware yourself and customize the OS for quite a bit. So please would anyone who's experienced with N95 and Symbian OS shed some light on how, if possible I could add Chinese input on my N95 8GB?

Do I need to debrand it first from 3 network and install new OS? Thanks in advance

is essential if you're going to put chinese support on it.
you'll need to do the whole NSS change the code thing ..
I suggest
0557980 - HONG KONG / CHINA

then do a firmware upgrade (it might not change the version number as I'm not sure if v15.x is available for China yet)

you might be best to wait until v15.x is available for China .. just check with NSU every now and again .. you can continue to use the phone unbranded in english if you really want v15.x .. just change to the generic Euro code for the 8G thats 0549487 ..

So choices ..
unbrand using euro 1 code (english) .. which will give you the latest v15.x OS or
unbrand using china code (chinese) .. which probably wont .. yet

Good Luck!😊
