I'm really liking the idea of starting to learn Flash... I'm a web developer at the moment, using HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript. I've only just started a job doing this, so my knowledge of these languages are going to get really good (I hope)... I'm thinking the next step after this would be to learn Flash. I've heard the ActionScript is very similar to JavaScript - so this would be perfect for me. I know these types of phones have Java capabilities, but this is abit too hardcore for me...

Seems to be a good one (anyone here read it?), but I suppose what I'm asking, is there any difference between a normal Flash player on the PC and the Flash Lite 3 on the Nokia N95. Can I basically use the same Flash 8 Professional program on my Mac to develop for Flash Player and Flash Lite?
I know this really isn't the best place to talk about Flash development, so could anybody help me with a decent site that is dedicated to Flash game development? Especially making Flash games for mobiles... This really appeals to me at the moment.
hay, yeh iv been dabeling in flash over the past few years, just started making a few flash lite progs!
my best thing 2 doIMO, go into your flash pro 8 and file>new then choose global fones then choose symbian 60, and yo will get a template! you should have a few flash lite samples in your install directory, and the flash help was really usefull, just look at the flash lite @ the bottom!!
also u might have to down loads the lastes flash lite update from adobe, it''s free, think it's flash lite 2.1 for flash 8 pro! the flash lite 3 isent avalable for flash 8 pro yet but it will be soon!
also in flash 8 it has a emulator for diffrent fone but i dont rate it that much, it misses alot of stuff and showes stupid errors!

Flash 8 is a good development tool to do this kind of stuff in then mate? I don't need to bother with Flash CS3 or anything no?
Do you think that book would be good to get? Surely, Flash development for a PC and for a Symbian phone would (technically) be the same right? So I could get that book, learn how ActionScript works etc and apply what I learn to a Symbian template and then run it on my N95 right?
Sorry for the noob questions, I'm completely new to Flash really and to the N95.

hi yeh that book would prob help you a it with grafix and action scrips, i dont really make games , just usyally website grafix, and on the n95 just wee tools for testing attery levels and setting screen savers etc.. not games,
flash 8 pro has been fine for me but i havent tryed cs3, acctually u got me intrested in it so im in the middle off downloading it from adobe, free 30 day trial!
i dont really use action scripts all that often, but they are pritty easy to pickup especially if uv done some java s b4!
