Hi Folks,

does anybody know, how to replace T9 languages on the E51? I have a german T-Mobile version with german, english, french, dutch and turkish... but the languages I really need are germen, english and spanish.

Thx!

Hey Folks, Nokia offers the service to flash the E51 with a software version german, english, spanish, french... but 50 euros are a little bit to much... anybody has the tool to do it? Can't be, nobody knows... :frown:

hey all,

i'm suffering from the same problem, i bought my phone (E51) in asia (actually living there), but i'm regularly textmessaging with my folks in france in germany.

I used to have a SE K750i, where it was no problem swichting beween any possible language.

But the brandnew E51 only supports asian-languages besides english.
i just contacted the support in vietnam, and they told me that it is by (bad) design that the phone only supports this and that languages, and that there was nothing to do for me... How sad is that?

Has anyone a idea how to flash the phone with a european firmeware?

thx for any ideas!

Hi.

You must find out which Product code do you need & change it with nss & upgrade it with Nokia Software updater:

I have find this manuals:

NSS - http://www.b-phreaks.co.uk/files/NSS/NSS103812.zip

1) Install NSS onto your computer. The latest versions work with both Windows XP and Windows Vista.
2) Connect your N51 to your computer, via USB, in PC Suite mode.
3) Launch NSS.
4) Click on the magnifying glass in the top right of the NSS window. This should then detect your phone and bring up it's info.
5) When your phone has been found, click on the Phone Info button and wait for it to read more info from your phone.
6) Now click on the Read button on the right hand side of the screen. You will see the phone's product code, H/W code, manufacturing date and IMEI number displayed.
7) Choose the product code you want to use (PC: 0552197: RM-244 CTR BALKANS SLO/CRO/SER).
8) Overtype the product code with the one you have chosen from the Product Codes thread (see above)
9) Tick the Enable box and then press Write
Your product code has now been changed. You can quit NSS and now open Nokia Software updater to update your phone in the normal manner.

Some Product codes are here:

Regards.

This seems to be the valid language pack compilation. This list is from another Nokia forum, related to another Nokia Symbian Phone. I used EURO1 and it matched:

EURO1: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese
EURO2: English, French, German, Turkish, Dutch, Italian
EURO2: English, Czech, Slovakian, German, Polish, Hungarian
Scandinavia: English, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Icelandic, Danish
Baltic: English, German, Estonian, Russian, Latvian, Lithuanian
Russia: English, German, Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Hungarian
Balkans: English, German, Croatian, Slovenian, Serbian, Greek
Arabic: English, Arabic, French, Farsi, Urdu
Hebrew: English, Hebrew, Arabian, Russian, Romanian, Spanish
Africa: English, Portuguese, German, Italian, French

No garantees for the others.
