Upgrade to 5 and crippled??

I upgrade my N80 from version 1.xx(I'm not sure of the actual version, just 1 something) and it is now 5.0719.0.2. I am really sorry I did that because it was working fine. I used PCSuite and a cable from my laptop and here is what happened.

1. Upgrade appeared to go smoothly and successfully.
2. When the phone reset it wanted me to select a county, but will fail to startup if I do not select a country within about 1 second. If I select the first country in the list(Afganistan) very quickly, it will startup up. BUT, it is very crippled. You cannot set the Clock or access the Settings menu. Each of these tries to run, but after a second they just quit and you are put back to the menu.
3. I tried the 3 button reset and got the same thing.

Basically it is now only a phone that can only make basic phone calls and nothing else. I have read too many time that you cannot downgrade so I won't ask, but I must say that is a pretty crappy design.

Can anybody please help me. At least I would like to access my Setting Menu.

Thanks
Tim

Thanks, but I have already done that without success. I get the same result each time. I am trying to get NSS running to change the product code and try it again.
