Ogg Play Screws up Browser Font

1 replies · 4,196 views · Started 16 January 2008

After a lot of mucking about with different formats, I decided to go back to good ol' OGG format for my ripped CDs, so after quite a while of not using it I re-installed OggPlay v1.7 and the provided 240x320 skin. Now my web browser is using the same rather minimalist font that OggPlay uses.

This is ringing very loud bells with me. I'm sure it's been discussed before but I can't find anything searching on this forum or google. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Cracked it. I found the thread on the OggPlay forum, despite the fact that a discussion on fonts didn't show up in a search for "fonts".

You can solve this problem by installing OggPlay onto your memory card rather than phone memory. I would guess that S60/Symbian is looking for fonts first in C: before going to the correct ones in Z:. Because OggPlay puts its own fonts in C: the OS/UI starts using those.

Don't you just hate people who reply to their own questions?
