Hi there. Getting an N95 8GB sent to me hopefully by the end of the week. Just a couple of questions. Firstly I will be debranding the phone and need to know if it's possible to keep spiderman. I have searched on here but couldn't find an answer.
Secondly I wanted to know what the best free to use GPS software is (including maps.) Also what the best paid one is. Thanks.
There isnt many 'free' Satnavs. I think 'Amaze' is, but Im not sure. Either way,it will charge you data as it downloads maps on the go.

Nokia maps isnt free for navigation, you have to pay for turn and voice guidance.
Currently, the best paid for one is Garmin, although thats open to speculation.
Not sure about the spider issue, sorry.

I looked but couldn't see anyone giving a proper answer. The best solution I found was download it in avi format!

Depends which one your on and how much you use GPS (and other data). Web and walk, depending on the package has limits. If you go over them you will be charged.

Well I'm working on the assumpton I won't go over.
Just read the small print and it appears you have 1GB, which is pretty good. Best to check your package though, as Im not sure all web n walk is the same.
You wont pay for anything if you use amaze. There might be other free ones out there, but in my expirence they are not as good as traditional satnavs.
Cheers guys. Just read that topic and am still none the wiser about spiderman. Should I be performing a backup? Lots of people were saying it wasn't workin for them.
well, I dont think anyone can say for definate ... the backup process is shakey at the best of times...

I have upgraded my firmware twice now and am on the most uptodate version and still have the spiderman with no problems.
I used the betalabs Nseries pc suite and backed up and restored everything and it works fine.
