It's assisted GPS and allows your nokia n95 to get a quicker fix on your location by using the cell towers to help locate your current cell/area that you are in. It will use about 5kb of network data so if you do have it enabled and currently do not subscribe to a data plan through your cellular provider, you will be charged for the data download. If you're not using your GPS that much then you probably won't really notice the charge as the amount of data that A-GPS uses is very small each time.

You can turn it off though, which is what I have done.
