I am also in the same boat. I just bought the e51. I am in Toronto, Canada and Data Rates with Fido is pretty high. 5c per KB.

I would like to know, if I buy a BT GPS receiver from ebay, can I use any of these software without having to use the Data over GPRS?

Would that also allow me to use the turn by turn direction/navigation?

Also how is google maps with the external gps?
