9300i Does Not Update Call Logs

Hi There

I am an owner of 9300i which I bought year and half ago. The phone was working fine till couple of days ago when I noted that it does not updating call logs.😡

Whenever i make a call, receive a call, and/or have a missed call, the log is not updated and new calls are not showed in the log.

This is true for the SMS as well. When I receive a new SMS, I can read it, but ones I close the message it is gone, and not showed in Inbox.

The situation is really annoying specially with Missed calls and Received calls.

Any Ideas what might be wrong in my phone? :con?

When in doubt, try to remember what changes you made to the phone since you last noticed call logs working?

Did you add any new programs?

How are you fixed for device memory? (i.e. there may not be enough room to add a log entry)

What is your log duration set for? In the Log application, press Menu->Tools->Log Duration. If it is set to "0" days, you will have no log. I keep mine set to "1" day. If this is set to a high number, the log file can get pretty big.

Look for "renegade" processes (use TaskSpy or DevMan) that might be running in parallell.

Do you reboot your phone frequently or is it on all the time?

A lot of problems go away if you get in the habit of rebooting on a regular basis.
