You don't need to add feeds manually, though. If a page has a feed, it should show up when you press options as "subscribe" in the menu. For example, on the web page http://news.sky.com/skynews/home (or you could go from there to the "technology" section, then go to options - subscribe in order to subscribe to just the technology section).

Don't forget the webfeeds function will also handle enclosures, so you can use it for podcast feeds if you prefer that to the podcast app.
