WLAN - Permanent Connection?

Hi all,

is it possible for the WLAN on the N95 to always be connected?

When ever I want to browse the net it always asks me to connect using my wirless router, can it be set to just use it automatically?

Thanks

Some applications do this but not the default browser to my knowledge.

it can be set to use a specifc access point without having to ask you yeah. You just need to go to the browser, go to options, settings, general, and set the access point as your wifi router.

yes, just what I was gonna say! When you press and hold the '0' key, it fires up the Web browser and it always asks me which access point I want.

But at home, in eh standby screen, it scans for WLAN and picks up my wireless router, and then just by press ' Start Web Browsing' it starts surfing without the need to choose the access point.

maybe i'm misreading what he means.

Some applications can build a list of access points that you use and it will automatically scan and select the one around you and use it without any confirmation or anything on the startup of the application. Unlike the webbrowser where you have to select scan wlan and then select 'start browsing'

okay so yeah you can set the default access point through the options> settings while in the browser.

then push and hold "0" when you want to use it.

yeah, the question can be read in 2 ways... either he wants it on all the time, or that when a program launches he doesnt need to pick an AP.
