In the second part of this music-focussed look at the latest Walkman smartphone, the Sony Ericsson W960, Ewan's been picking apart the new Media Manager suite that's bundled on CD with the device. Is it polished enough for real world use? Ewan's not entirely convinced...

Media Manager (ver 1.1) is now out and i think its abit better and faster.now video converter is free(MP4 files only).and you must GO PRO for other type of files and Sense Me function is added.
cant have a nokia fan site being upbeat about a sony phone now can we.
least sony have some half decent software to use with the phone unlike nokia with the rubbish pc suite
What makes you think this is a 'Nokia fan site'? We cover all things Symbian - it just so happens that Sony Ericsson and their UIQ phones have had a rocky few years - and it hasn't all been plain sailing for Nokia at times... But we honestly review things as we see them. There is NO bias. Really.
Oh I'll rip apart anything on the site, no matter the brand name. Perhaps you don't recall the flames I got for my E90 real world reviews...
I must admit that I have never thought of AAS as a "nokia fan site". And let's face it, the W960 review was pretty positive...
I have just installed Media Manager for my W960i from the PC Suite CD which came with the phone.
The indexing process freezes on a particular track and this process has never completed ever since I installed the application.
Also to transfer music, I selected all the tracks to be transfered but there is no " Tranfer to phone " button (the arrow pointing downwards) on the program. Is there something wrong with the application or the installation?
does ur system specs match with the w960 's requirements
this forum is all about symbian that's good, but i came here in search for the software media manager but as u see more of talk and less of work........... sorry guys........
