New N95 out?

I heard from someone at work that a friend of theirs has a new N95 that came out in America. It has 8Gb flash memory inside like the N95 8Gb, but also has a microSD card slot like the N95 classic. They claim that they had it unlocked direct from Nokia so it could be used in the UK.

I was only familiar with (possibly) four different ones:

  • N95 Classic - for the US, with twice as much RAM as the original
  • N95 Classic - for the rest of the world (THE original)
  • N95 8Gb - for the US (this is the one I'm not sure about)
  • N95 8Gb - for the rest of the world (We all know the differences by now)

I have the strongest suspicion that they're talking utter rubbish. Am I right?

Ahh good good.

They were adament that their friend had one and I said the 8Gb models didn't have card slots, and US ones AFAIK could never work here even if they were unlocked because they were designed for the US networks (correct me if I'm wrong though).

I said basically if they were telling the truth at all then the phone would be a custom job and be REALLY expensive.
