3g and 3.5g

I have an N95 with a T-mobile sim and web and walk. My problem is that the majority of the time I am connected via 3g and sometimes via 3.5g. I dont actually move anywhere yet it changes randomly. My question is is there any way to stay on HSDPA or at least improve my chances of getting it?

That's simple - change your network provider to Vodafone!!!
I've had my N95 on T-Mobile for 8 months and saw 3.5G only ONCE!😡
Now on Vodafone it's most of the time I'm downloading sth.

I dident until I changed my data plan to plus and back to standard again. Ive never seen a 3G area on T-Mobile now that isnt HSPDA it always jumps to 3.5G as soon as i do anything that sends or recieves data ( if the connection is connected and idle it drops to 3G and then back again as soon as data is sent / recieved )

Same here, I'm on T-Mobile and I get 3.5G almost everywhere that I get 3G (That doesn't make sense but you know what I mean)

So I guess, Hypochondriac, you just have to follow these two blokes above wherever they go...😉

I travel between Bedford and London on the train for work and also attend a lot of events all over the country and still see this behaviour on my phone. I suppose it is possible you are just in areas where T-Mobs coverage for HSDPA is poor but it isn't indicative of their whole network, that's all i'm saying
