is there anyway to remove the 'search: internet and my content' from the standby screen without removing all of the icons?

no... the search app on the latest fw is integrated, so cant be removed.
oh I wish someone would make a 'configure active stand by screen' program, so you could just have whatever sections you wanted 😊
You could switch it off, or change the icons? I can on my 6110.
Active standby isnt as useful as I thought. Considering I can access 4 things of choice via one touch on the D pad, active standby offers very little advantage.
