Menu > Tools > Utilities > Memory > Options > Format mass memory.

Then *#7370# will format the phone itself; you will lose all applications and data that are not part of the firmware.

The connection settings should be read from the SIM card when the phone restarts.

If you upgrade the firmware it will do the full phone format for you but will not touch the 8GB mass memory - any applications on the 8GB mass memory may be reinstalled after the firmware upgrade.

Don't reinstall the same version/variant of firmware - there's no point and you run the small risk of bricking your phone.

Firmware upgrades have checksums to see if they have worked or not, you cannot have a corrupt upgrade that works. If you have odd problems the format of the mass memory and phone should fix it - otherwise it's a hardware fault or a bug with the firmware version that you will only reinstall.

Don't restore a Backup of Settings made on a different Firmware Version or Variant after a format. Contacts etc are fine, just not Settings.

thanks for your help after doing this everything worked perfect i just wanted to restart my phone over again as i 100s games and lots of useless app what would of took forever deleting manually and cleaning up the memory folders would of been hard b/c some apps make memory folders with names nothin like there product name making it impossible deleting correct folders always
