N95 default call type?

Hi
I have a N95 8GB on Vodafone, the internet call has been disabled but when I open my contact, select one and press the dial key, the default method is to call the contact using Internet Call? How can I change the default type into Voice call?

Thanks.

try MENU>TOOLS>SETTINGS>CALL>default call type to cellular, so long as its the same as the classic version 😉

sorry... I meant MENU>TOOLS>SETTINGS>

PHONE>>

CALL> THEN SCROLL TO default call type and change to voice call.

See if that works.

Yes. I checked Call settings
It has:
Send my caller ID
Call waiting
Reject call with SMS
Message text
Image in video call
Automatic redial
Show call duration
Summary after call
Speedy dialing
Anykey answer

I didn't see default call type option

ah... sorry then mate, must be in a different place on the 8GB?... just done a quick search on google.... and theres a few threads the same...

see if anyone here picks the thread up.

Thanks anyway. I checked most of the setting pages and haven't found anything looks like it. actually when entering number, the default call type is voice call and using the address book. It changes.

can you change the default number to dial then on the contact in defaults??

wat version is it??

check it by pressing *#0000#

tell me wat V ----------

yes I changed the only number for the contact to default and on the contact list I press dial key. It comes out with:
Unable to create internet call. Define Internet telephone setting first.

have you set SIP/Internet Tel up??

other options: soft/hard reset?

I installed truphone but Vodafone disable internet call so I removed truphone. But the default call type is changed or not I am not sure. Cause I didn't notive about the defualt call type before I installed truphone.

Anyway I will be going to unlock this. Will the unlocked phone support internet call afterwards?

there might be a setting that was pushed by truphone.

Unlocking the phone just allows you to use different service providers, unbranding your phone will allow you to set it to a fully standardised setup (generic Nokia)

While after reset to factory setting. It is finally changed back.
And soft reset didn't affect the contacts and files. It's great. But I think this is a small bug in the firmware which should have allowed to change the default call type in settings page. Hopefully there will be some update from Nokia.
